Research Interests
Dr. Zhang specializes in the precise fabrication of atomically-precise graphene nanoribbon devices through on-surface synthesis of organic molecules at well-defined interfaces. By integrating advanced techniques including scanning probe microscopy (SPM), Raman spectroscopy, photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and micro/nanofabrication, he conducts comprehensive investigations of device properties encompassing surface electronic states, optical characteristics, molecular vibrational properties, and photoelectron spectroscopy.
